One Person Dies in Rollinsford Vehicle Fire

Rollinsford, New Hampshire – New Hampshire State Fire Marshal Sean P. Toomey, Rollinsford Fire Chief Mark Rutherford and Rollinsford Police Chief Jonathan Uraskevich announce that a motor-vehicle crash and fire occurred on Baer Road in Rollinsford on April 27, 2023, at approximately 3:24 AM. Rollinsford police and firefighters responded to the scene and found a truck fully engulfed in flames. The Rollinsford Fire Department extinguished the fire and located a deceased male in the vehicle.

The NH State Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the scene to investigate the origin and cause of the fire, and this investigation is ongoing. Evidence at the scene indicates that the truck failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and struck a tree. The fire was the result of the crash.

The victim was transported to the NH State Medical Examiner’s Office in Concord for an autopsy, which occurred this morning. The cause of death was determined to be thermal inhalation injuries. The manner of death is accidental, and a positive identification of the victim is pending.
