One Person Dies in Milford Fire

Milford, New Hampshire – New Hampshire State Fire Marshal Sean P. Toomey, Milford Fire Chief Ken Flaherty and Milford Police Chief Mike Viola announce that a fire occurred at 11 Leisure Way in Milford on January 20, 2023 at approximately 11:45 PM. A victim died as a result of this fire.

Witnesses observed smoke and fire visible through a window of a mobile home and there was a report that there was an individual trapped inside. Milford firefighters made entry into the building and while extinguishing the fire, located an individual who was determined to be deceased.

Positive identification of the victim and cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy that will take place at the NH State Medical Examiner's Office in Concord, NH, on January 22, 2023.

The investigation into the origin & cause of the fire is active and ongoing by members of the NH State Fire Marshal's Office and the Milford Fire and Police Departments.
