One Person Deceased Following Residential Fire In Bartlett

BARTLETT, N.H. – New Hampshire State Fire Marshal Sean P. Toomey, Bartlett Fire Chief Jeff Currier and Bartlett Police Chief Christopher Keaton announce that one person has died following a fire at 102 Oak Ridge Road in Barlett.

The Maine Office of the Chief Medical Examiner identified the victim as Karin Muller, 92, of Bartlett. Muller had been hospitalized at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine since the fire on Sunday, March 9, 2025. The New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office was notified of her death on Friday, March 14, 2025. Muller’s cause of death was determined to be thermal injuries and her manner of death was accidental.

While the investigation is ongoing, the fire is not considered to be suspicious at this time. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office at (603) 223-4289 or by email at fmo@dos.nh.gov.  

State Fire Marshal Toomey would like to remind everyone of the importance of having working smoke alarms. In the event of an alarm activation, visible smoke, or fire, residents should immediately exit their home and call 911. Exits should be kept clear and accessible at all times and home fire escape plans should be created and updated. Anyone with questions about fire safety in their home should contact their local fire department or the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office.
