Public Education Section
The NH Division of Fire Safety's Public Education section develops and distributes educational fire and life safety programs and information to the public, community organizations, partners, and industry professionals.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and budget cuts, the NH State Fire Marshal’s Office (NHFMO) public education program is operating at a reduced capacity. Our social media outlets are still active and have been continuing to provide the latest news and information about the FMO and other fire safety related information and events in the state. Be sure to check us out at;
State Fire Marshal’s Award of Excellence
This program is ongoing and we would like to hear from you. The State Fire Marshal's Award of Excellence in Fire & Life Safety recognizes New Hampshire youth that participate in an outstanding act in the area of fire and life safety that benefits the lives and well-being of those around them. We have been proud to recognize several of these local youth recently. Visit the Public Education webpage for an application and more information!
Community Events and In-Person Trainings
Our staff is currently not attending community events and do not have promotional items available for distribution. However, we are always happy to share digital outreach materials and resources. While we are not currently scheduling in-person educational workshops such as Remembering When, please let us know of your interest so we can connect with your organization when these programs resume. Annual 3rd Grade Fire and Life Safety Calendar Contest
Unfortunately, this program has been suspended for 2021. However, we will be distributing the posters representing the 2020 winners soon. Please stay tuned and reach out if you would like to reserve a few for your community while supplies last.
