Building Code Review Board Administrative Assistant (Concord, NH) - COMING SOON

 

    Education & Outreach Specialist (Part-Time, Concord, NH) - open until 3/8/22

    Seeking qualified candidates for a part-time Education and Outreach Specialist, implementing fire safety education programming. The position is classified as a Program Specialist III (Position #TMPPT5423; Job ID 24039). Plans, develops, coordinates and provides activities and programs in the areas of fire prevention, life safety and community relations. Includes utilizing social and multi-media, assisting with social media account management, strategy development and content generation for platforms including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Youtube. Posted wage is $24.26 per hour, not to exceed 29.5 hours per week. Candidates must have at least a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major in marketing, fire science, education, or related field.  Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education. License/Certification – Eligibility for a New Hampshire Driver’s License.

     

    Hazardous Materials Response Coordinator (Full-Time, Concord, NH) - open until 3/10/22

    This full-time position is classified as a Program Specialist III (Position #42564; Job ID 24002). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to coordinating the response of state agencies to hazardous materials incidents. This person will coordinate and conduct training and procedures of the state's regional  response team and state agencies in relation to incidents of terrorism, industrial accident, motor vehicle accident and/or a spill of hazardous materials under the authority of RSA 153:4-alll. Duties may also include assisting the local incident commander with command, logistics, and resources at hazardous materials incidents, and may assume control of such incidents when deemed necessary by the Director or at the request of the local fire chief, as authorized by RSA 153:4-a. Promotes effective application of the State Fire Code.

    Posted wage is $50,460.80 - $59,966.40, which has a 40 hour work week and is non-exempt.

    Candidates must have at least a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major in Fire Science, Environmental Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Management, Environmental Engineering Science or Fire Protection Technology.  Candidates must also have four years' professional or paraprofessional experience in coordination of response to hazardous materials incidents. License/Certification – Eligibility for a New Hampshire Driver’s License. 

    Preferred qualifications: Certified Commercial Building Inspector, Fire Inspector I, II, or Certified Fire Protection Specialist or equivalent.

     

    Building Inspector (Part-Time, Concord, NH) - open until 3/30/22

    Seeking qualified candidates for a part-time State Building Inspector, implementing the state building permit inspection program. The position is classified as a Program Specialist III (Position #TMPPT5417; Job ID 23553). Evaluates building permits and construction plans. Conducts building and fire code inspections and conducts training programs for building and fire safety personnel related to building safety, fire protection, fire prevention and fire inspection procedures. Assists in the development of professional and technical building and fire safety standards under the direction of the Deputy Fire Marshal. Posted wage is $24.26 per hour, not to exceed 29.5 hours per week. Candidates must have at least a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major in fire science, engineering, building construction, or related field.  Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education. License/Certification – Eligibility for a New Hampshire Driver’s License.

    Modular Program Manager (Part-Time, Concord, NH) - open until 3/30/22

    Seeking qualified candidates for a part-time Modular Building Program Manager, evaluating and overseeing program operations, including managing the certification of modular building manufacturers and third party inspection agencies, processing applications, performing annual on-site audits, and assisting with building safety inspections when needed. The position is classified as a Program Specialist IV (Position #TMPPT5888). Reviews construction documentation and specifications to verify modular building construction compliance with New Hampshire codes and standards adopted through the State Building and Fire Codes, and issues building labels to third party agencies.

    Posted wage is $26.44 per hour, not to exceed 29.5 hours per week. Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major in building inspections, building safety, engineering, or related field.  License/Certification – Eligibility for a New Hampshire Driver’s License.
